JSFractal

What is this?

JSFractal is a tool, or at least a toy, for exploring fractals entirely within a web browser.

Zoom!

Use the mouse to drag-select an area of the fractal to zoom in to.

This will enlarge the area you have selected and draw it in higher detail.

There is no theoretical limit to how deep you can zoom.

Timeline

As you explore deeper in to the fractal, each previous location is added to the timeline.

You can flip back to any previous state by clicking on the corresponding icon. If you wish, you may head off in a new direction from this previous point. Clicking play will animate the whole sequence.

Bookmark

You can save any fractal to come back to later simply by bookmarking the page.

This URL can be shared as it will always redraw the current fractal.

Settings

Depending on the speed of your computer and browser, you may wish to adjust the quality and size settings of the fractal. You can also change the colour scheme.

Click the update button to redraw the current fractal with the new settings.
